Picturefest kicks off with a tribute to its own inspiration, Tilda Swinton & Mark Cousin’s 2009 film festival “A Pilgrimage.” Preceded by a fantastic short film that highlights that very event, Swinton & Cousins have themselves chosen Jacques Tati’s charming, hilarious M. Hulot’s Holiday to kick things off. It will be followed by a festive reception at the newly renovated Regent Theatre’s wine bar. Oh, and a late addition: 3-D Tour before the films!

6:00PM: 3-D Tour! Tour Loyalist College’s new 3-D production facilities and witness some very groovy demos of the possibilities of 3-D. Meet at 6 Ross Street (just across from the Regent), and learn more: www.loyalist3d.com
